The author points to the notion and essential characteristics of the labor contract, its shortcomings and possible misuse of this type of work out of work. One of flexible forms of work engagement is the contract of work by which a person is engaged in employment without establishing a working relationship. A large number of atypical types of work engagement appear, which require a different approach to the organization of work and more flexible labor legislation. In times of global economic and social challenges resulting from the process of globalization, traditional labor relations have become inadequate for those who want to be competitive.
